For this post I wanted to share what I’ve been watching, reading and listening to, that has given me inspiration in some form. I’ll look to post up something like this every few months.
Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things – I’ve mentioned this one in a previous blog, but it’s essentially what kicked everything off for me and led me to change my life. It inspired me to change, to re-evaluate what’s important in my life, to work out what my values are and what I’m passionate about. It also led me to practicing meditation.
Matt D’Avella’s Podcast – This podcast is awesome! It’s like listening to a couple of mates chat about all things in life. I listen to this podcast in the car on my way to work and by the time I get to work, I feel excited. Not excited for work, but excited for life. The Nate Green and T.K Coleman episodes are particularly excellent.
Billy Yang’s Films – I’ve been exploring the world of ultra-marathons lately and Billy Yang’s documentary’s inspire me to want to get out there and get involved. I’m nowhere near fit enough yet, but I’m working on it! I’ve got my eye on an event or two next year. His Leadville 100 film is my personal favourite. I also really like his attitude towards life. He values experiences more than anything else, which is a strong value I have as well. He does some great year in review films, this one he talks about his one thing, which I find very inspiring and motivating.
Rich Roll’s Finding Ultra – Given my new found excitement for ultras, I recently started reading this. An unfit middle aged man turned ultra endurance athlete, I like it!
High Carb Hannah – Hannah’s vegan food and lifestyle youtube channel. She’s got a lot of great recipes and tips on living a vegan life. I’m getting a lot of value out of this channel at the moment.
